Terms of Service

Welcome to QualityTime. By downloading, installing, or utilizing the QualityTime mobile application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not download or use the software.

1. Permitted Use

QualityTime is provided as a free peer-to-peer audio and video communication application for personal and lawful communication purposes. You agree to use the software only for lawful activities and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the application to harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, or violate the legal rights of other individuals.
• Transmit any unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or unlawful material.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of proprietary components, except where permissible under open-source licenses.
• Interfere with or disrupt signaling networks or servers used to coordinate peer connections.

3. Peer-to-Peer Nature & No Emergency Calling

IMPORTANT NOTICE: QualityTime is not a telecommunications carrier service and does not support or carry emergency calls to emergency services (e.g., 911, 112, 999). You must ensure you have access to alternative traditional telephone service or mobile network operators for emergency calls.

4. Updates & Modifications

QualityTime releases updates to improve stability, add features, and rectify software bugs. Updates are distributed via public manifests hosted on GitHub. While updates are designed to maintain backward compatibility, certain major updates may require upgrading to maintain peer connectivity.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

QualityTime is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted, bug-free operation. Quality of transmission is dependent upon your internet connection, carrier constraints, and device capabilities.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, the authors, contributors, and maintainers of QualityTime shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of QualityTime after such revisions constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
